Our design team worked closely with exhibition co-curator and Dja Dja Wurrung Elder Uncle Rick Nelson, local artists and knowledge holders to create an immersive Welcome to Country space and experience. The space includes social and learning opportunities, commissioned installations by local artists and, several audio and touch interactives.
Panoramic photographs by Liz Thompson, friction fitted on fabric panels, connected the tall building volume to the surrounding Jaara Country. We consulted with Heritage Victoria for the re-purposing of the old Market Building.
Boorp Boorp Boondyil, means 'passing knowledge on to our children'
